I want this home

While visiting David in L.A., we stopped by our friends Erika and Rich's home. It is the most adorable thing you'e ever seen (and its 10 minutes from the beach!) Check it out:

Greetings from L.A.

Hi friends!!


How are you? I'm doing fant-astic!!! Just relaxing here in Los Angeles with my hubby and buddy, David. I met his girlfriend today, and she's just the sweetest thing ever. We arrived around 3:30 am and the boys stayed up until around 5am. Then they woke up around 8 am for their fantasy football draft... yikes! We spent the day eating, walking around the outlet mall area and Santa Monica pier, and relaxing. I snacked on some coconut shrimp rolls, shrimp and macadamia rolls, and picking at Max's mango and filet salad... so good and fresh!! You would have loved it =] Now we're just relaxing before dinner. Wish you were here to join me.

North Dakota

Hi lovelies!

Boy did I miss you (and non-fried food) but I had so much fun in North Dakota. Here's where we stayed:

We had so much fun there. We saw the towns that Max's parents grew up in, the farms they were raised on, the restaurants that were known to be the only cool place to go, and we got to ride in million dollar tractors.

These adorable kittens kept us company and also tried to steal our chips and salsa during our visit. 

 The only bar in Nekoma, ND. Max's second cousin owns it and we met his daughter, Miss North Dakota, there!

 My dream home (the only way I'd move to ND is if I could live in this home)

We had such a good time visiting with family, but I can definitely say that at this time in my life I am still a city girl. Meeting Max's grandma was such a great experience she was so cute and quirky. Think Betty White and Betty Crocker =]

There wasn't too much to do in this city, except eat and hang out with family but I think for four days it was just what I needed before my last semester of school starts.

Update

Hi beauties! Hope the end of your summer is winding down slowly and you're enjoying every single second. I can't believe it's already August. Insanity.

Here's a quick update to let you know what has been going on in my life:

• My brother got a job at the same place I work. Such a huge belssing for him and me. It is so great coming to work and getting to see him there, especially since I haven't been seeing very much of him since I've gotten married.
• I'm growing out my hair......long. (This is extremely difficult for me because I'm approaching the "middle-blah" stage where I hate how my hair looks.)
• I'm going to North Dakota Thursday morning to go meet my hubby's grandma for the first time. We're going to the town of Osnabrock. Here's some quick facts about the town that will crack you up:

1. The population as of 2009 was 143.
2. The land area is .29 square miles.
3. There are no hospitals in this town.
4. There is ONE movie theatre, The Roxy, that was recently restored that only places movies on the weekends. The only movie showing while we will be visiting is Hangover II... hehe.
5. Interesting facts: There are no gay, lesbian, or sex offenders registered in this town as of 2010.
6. There is one bank.

     This trip should be really fun. I am so ready for some unwinding and relaxation time with family.

I would like your help

I am graduating this December and need an excuse to buy a dress (the last dress I bought was for my wedding, so this is a good reason!)

New York Fashion Week- Fall

I was curious to see what will soon be "in" within the fashion world and decided to scope out NYFW. Here are the top 8 trends. What do you think?





1. Why not add some hair to that flair?

I'm not sure about this one... ever! Maybe if I lived in NY. One piece of advice that works for everyone's life is; "Do not EVER copy what Linsdey Lohan does!"

2. RED hot

I seriously love this trend. I odn't think it will ever go out of style.

3. Long and lean

Outfits that lengthen your body are NEVER a bad thing in my opinion.

4. Plaid

I might rock some plaid if I were trying to be adventurous.

5. Angles

I find this trend very in-ter-est-ing......

6. It's all about UTILITY

Maybe I'd be daring enough to rock to the more modern pink neo-Victorian dress, but just maaaaaybe.

Brianhead

Our trip to Brianhead for the 4th of July was fan-tastic!!! You gotta love trips where your entire agenda is planned around where/what you will be eating! Check out the dogs! Aren't they affordable! That was pretty much Pia's temperament the entire trip. Even when the fireworks were going off!! I couldn't believe it. She's the best dog ever.


Highlights of the trip:
-Hiking Cedar Breaks
-Eating baby back ribs at a mini farmers market
-watching my pup eat snow
-playing Scattergories with my in-laws
-eating at Mi Pueblo (best Mexican food in Utah!)
-s'mores made out of rice cakes, chocolate, and marshmallows
-spelling "Mrs. Andrea Lorenz" with sparklers :D
