Babies on the brain

What, is April walk around with your baby/pregnant belly month? I get the hint people but it's quite rude to try and influence a young girl like myself into having kids so soon.

MOB of pregnanteers: Drea, you can't run forever you know!
Drea: But why not? You people are so scary!!
MOB: Pregnancy and motherhood is a wonderful thing you know.
Drea: I get that for some people it totally is but I'm just not ready for that yet. 1) I really like my body. In fact I love it. I can't give that up. 2) How am I supposed to function when all these women around me that don't have full time jobs and get to stay at home can't even handle it... I NEED sleep! 3) I love my time with Max. I don't want to be responsible for a human life that will completely drain ALL of my time from him. Other than that I can't think of anything else and I will be super happy to be a mommy when I'm ready to give up all of those things but for now- absolutely not!! maybe later.

So all of my peers trying to tell me to have kids soon:leave me alone please refrain.

Adieu

Spring Time

I'm kind in love right now.... with Mr. Springtime. Fresh mango margaritas- enough said! They were so good! And I had so much fun making them with my future in-laws. I almost can't believe I'm being blessed with such a family. Last night's dinner menu included:

scallop teriyaki salad
sage squash hash
grilled chicken breast
lemon tarts with fresh fruit medley and chocolate sauce
and of course those yummy margaritas!

Thanks Brian Bouitano (weird, right? The former figure skater had a new Food Network show) he's so funny flamboyant.

j'adore food.

I deserve...

Today was enlightening.

I wish my allergies would go away so that I could run outside- I miss that. That feeling you get from working your body so hard and knowing that when you are done you will feel so pleased with yourself because you just finished something incredible.

I saw my reception site choice #1 yesterday! My goodness was it incredible. I see all of these things around me that are beautiful and unimaginable- something that I would have never dreamed that I deserve- I still sort of don't think that I do. But for some reason God thinks I do. That is so humbling: to be shown the things that could come from prayer and simply asking and watching things start to hatch before your eyes. And who knows maybe I won't get to have my reception there, but the thought that I could be introduced to my family and friends on my wedding day as Mrs. Max Lorenz is enough to plant a permanent smile on my face and nearly burst. Next to meeting Christ, Max is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He makes me want to me a better person every single day. And not in a jealous or envious way- in a way that makes me want to be a better person for him because that is what he deserves and I know that is the kind of wife God has created me to be. I have NEVER met anyone like him- someone that is just good. No self ambitions- just goodness.

I love you Max and you have truly showed me what love is.

Boulder City date

So I officially have the best fiancée in the whole world. I love that at the drop of a hat he will take me on fun dates that feel like mini adventures. Yesterday we hopped in the car and sang to Boyz II Men (thanks Pandora lol) and drove to Boulder City where we ate at this yummy Mexican restaurant. I had my first margarita-peach! It was nice getting some authentic Mexican enchiladas even though they weren't as good as my mom's. It was so fun just being in the small town atmosphere and walking around a park that was actually green! It wouldn't be so bad to retire there I think.

Thank goodness it's Spring Break! I'm excited for some much needed relaxation and time with my ladies:) if you're reading this Nicole and Jessie please hang out with me! I need as much time with you before you move away and leave me. And any other lady in my life it would be GREAT to hang out with you.

215 More days until I get married- woo hoo!!!

Adieu!

Warm Sundays

Today was a very good day! At church this morning we met our new lead pastor for this first time. His name is Kevin Wehr and he seems like an awesome, young, spunky guy. Very different from what I am used to, but I'm sure he'll be awesome and God will use him in great ways here. After church I went to Panera with Max and one of his YoungLife guys, Shan. We saw the cutest little girl there that was dressed in a little sailor dress and looked like she just came from church. I'm so excited for when I have kids and can dress them up so cute! After Panera I went home and took a much needed nap and awoke refreshed and ready to work on some homework. Thank goodness for Pandora! I don't think I could get through most of my homework without it hehe. After writing my paper I decided to look at online save the dates that Max and I could use since we had been talking about it yesterday. Not really liking the designs from Evite, I did some more research and stumbled upon Hallmarks online invitations- they were so stinking cute. If anyone is interested they have a great program called Smilebox that is free or if you would like to upgrade or add a few of your own quirks it an additional couple dollars but VERY reasonable! After picking out some designs that I really liked I added my own pictures to them and came over to Max's house to show him the ones I had picked out. He really liked two of them so now we just have to narrow it down to one.

After making some brownies it was time for us to head out to leadership where the main focus tonight was praying for future leaders and kids we would be taking to camp. I'm pretty sad that I can't go to camp this year because of the wedding but I know God will work through my other leaders and the kids will get a great glimpse of a relationship with Christ and hopefully meet him there.

I am now writing from Max's living room that is full of five boys with whom I have just made dinner. I really had fun doing it though- kinda lame I know. But its nice to know they loved it and that they were grateful. The dinners included: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for one, chicken with mushroom sauce and peas for two, beef broccoli for one, and brownies for one [im not sure this counts as dinner but oh well ;) ] I am having a ton of fun watching all of the boys go nuts over the crazy wrestling video game they're playing. Ugh now they're about to watch UFC- barf! oh well it's getting late so...

Je deteste etre mauvais

So this was officially the worst day I've ever had. And I really don't like complaining- but this is the honest truth!

SO I have been coughing and blowing my nose a lot the past couple of days, but I felt absolutely terrible today. Which is very strange because I never get sick. Anyway, I went to school around 8:30 this morning to go to the wellness center because I had a terrible headache on top of my other symptoms and because I didn't have an appoinment I had to wait until 10am. Did I mention I had a midterm today at 10am? Ughh! Well I did- so I told the receptionist this and we had to reschedule my appoinment to 11am. 3 more hours feeling like complete crap? So I went back to my car and decided I was going to sleep until my class started, so I did. But as soon as I woke up my headache had turned into a migraine and I was now super nauseous. So I walked to class as slow as a turtle, only staring at the cement in front of me because I was sure I was going to vomit. Making it to class without throwing up was a huge surprise. So nevertheless I took my midterm, which was super duper easy (thank you Lord) and made my way back to the UNLV wellness center at turtle pace. When I got there I saw a nurse who prescribed me three different medications and told me to go home and get some rest because I looked like I needed it. I know people don't mean to hurt your feelings when they say you look tired, but for some reason it still hurts me. Oh well! So after I got done seeing her I went to the pharmacy down the hall and waited for the pharmacist to give me my medicine. I was so nauseous at this point that I couldn't stand straight and began shaking and swaying back and forth and told the pharmacist I had to sit down and for her just to call me up when she was done. From the chair I was sitting in I called my fiancee, Max, and told him I was feeling so terrible that he might have to come pick me up and drive me home and I told him I would call him back after I left the pharmacy. So then the pharmacist called me up when she was ready for me and I paid for my medicine and headed back to my car. As soon as I reached the drivers side door of my car I began throwing this nasty green watery stuff that was probably acid because I hadn't eaten anything at this point and it was 12 pm. So I jumped in my car, avoiding the vomit and called Max to come get me. Then I fell asleep until he got there with our friend Lucas. Poor sweet Lucas had the wonderful task of driving my car back to my house. So it was safe to say as I made my way into Max's car I was in sheer horror at the fact that Lucas had to jump over my puke to drive my car. I finally got home and my brother met me inside and asked what happened to me because I looked awful. He always tells me his honest opinion so this didn't bother me as much. I made my way to my bed and asked him if he could make me oatmeal and he said sure. He brought me up some oatmeal. I could only eat a few spoonfuls because of my stomach so I slept for three hours. When I woke up my migraine had gotten worse and I felt dizzy and my head was throbbing incontrollably so I asked my brother for a neck and head massage and he said sure. He's going to make a great husband one day. After the massage I went back to sleep for four more hours and ate the rest of my oatmeal. Finally my migraine was gone!!

Honeymoon of your Dreams

So my friend, Nicole, gave this awesome book at my engagement party called "The Honeymoon of your Dreams." I read two chapters today and I can't wait to finish the rest...even though I'm going to have to. Darn 237 more days!!! It's okay I'm sure I will learn some awesome things along the way =] This book is really cool though and I high recommend it to anyone who will go on a honeymoon one day.

So far the things that have sparked my interest have been that this book gives you some insight on how the honeymoon is so misinterpreted among our society and the only thing people seem to associate with it is sex. There's so much more! I think I'm really going to like this book because for a long time that along with the accomadations is the only thing I would ever think about concerning my own honeymoon- not the fact that it is the first week of my marriage and is the starting point of it. Whoa! I'm glad I'm going to be learning something new, though, because it really is super discouraging when a lot of my married friends only talk about the "sex" factor and not the actual marriage. That's kinda shallow to me. Two Christians need more advice than just sex tips. But enough complaining from me!

I'm super sleepy today. Goodnight!

Adieu Jolie.
